Planning Blog: Storyboard

 

 

Sheet 1 

Shot 1: This wide shot shows Sadie walking on the sidewalk. She is shown from a wide angle. 

Shot 2: This next shot is shown at an angle from the side, it is a medium Iong shot as Sadie is still walking. 

Shot 3: This shot is the same as the previous but now there is a title in integrated into the background with the word “Uninvited.” 

Shot 4: An establishing shot shows the house as Sadie approaches it, walking up the driveway. 

Shot 5: Camera pans to show the entrance of the house from the inside as Sadie walks in. 

Shot 6: A medium close-up shows the dad standing in front of Sadie to talk to her. 

 

Sheet 2 

Shot 1: A medium close-up goes back to showing Sadie who responds to her dad. 

Shot 2: The dad is shown again, this time letting Sadie know that he will be in the kitchen preparing food. 

Shot 3: A shot reverse shot alternates back to Sadie to demonstrate the two having a conversation. 

Shot 4: Another medium close-up shows the dad saying his last words in the conversation to his daughter. 

Shot 5: Sadie is shown in a medium-close up shot talking to her father before leaving to her room. 

Shot 6: This last shot shows Sadie walking to her room reaching towards the door, which was left ajar, to open it. 

 

Sheet 3 

Shot 1: The shot continues from the last one, as Sadie is now fully opening the door to enter her room.  

Shot 2: A low angle captures Sadie walking into her room putting her backpack down on the floor. 

Shot 3: A medium shot shows Sadie from the side with her notebook open, sitting down at the desk in her room. 

Shot 4: This shot is filmed from the same angle, but now Sadie can be seen turning her head as she hears a strange noise coming from outside. 

Shot 5: An over-the-shoulder shot shows the contents of the notebook have been changed to an ominous message, different from what it had before. 

Shot 6: A change in setting can be seen as Sadie is now in the bathroom leaning over the sink to wash her face. 

Sheet 4 

Shot 1: Shot of Sadie going back to her desk, except that the ominous message has now disappeared. The camera then tilts up to show her face. 

Shot 2: As Sadie continues to inspect the notebook, Sadie hears a strange sound coming from the kitchen 

Shot 3: Close-up of Sadie as she gets up from her desk to inspect the noise 

Shot 4: Full shot of Sadie as she starts to approach the kitchen 

Shot 5: Long shot, the refrigerator can be seen open. Sadie slowly approaches and closes the door. 

Shot 6: High angle of Sadie walking towards the window 

Sheet 5 

Shot 1: wide angle showing the microwave beeping 

Shot 2: Medium close of Sadie trying to turn off the microwave, a shadowy figure can barely be seen through the window 

Shot 3: MCU of Sadie, visibly distressed, trying to calm herself. 

Shot 4: A dark figure slowly makes their way up to Sadie 

Shot 5: Sadie turns to look at the figure 

Shot 6: screen cuts to black
