My Group

 

I have chosen to work in a group for this project. This is because I feel working in a group would be easier, as the workload would be distributed better. Having completed both the commercial and music video project in a group successfully, I felt that working in a group would be wise. The people in my group are Nirmala Ferrer-Devandas and Alexia Siliquini Panizzi. I decided to change group members as my previous groupmates lived very far from where I live. This made it quite difficult to schedule any meetings. It was frequent that we had to cancel filming dates simply because there was no transportation. Nirmala and Alexia living closer would make this process much easier.  Alexia is very creative and therefore will prove to be helpful when brainstorming ideas for the film.  She will also be able to help with props and drawing the storyboard. Nirmala already has some ideas for the film as well. Nirmala is really good at organizing events and will play an integral role in the success of this group, helping keep track of blogs. She will also be a huge help setting up shots. Having learned from my previous experiences with working with a group, I hope to apply the skills I learned to be even more successful. I hope this project will go as well as the last one. Learning from the previous project, there are some things I will change this time around. This time I will film in 4k rather than 1080p, since I found out Vimeo supports 4k videos for small channels unlike YouTube. I will also ensure that I am exporting in h.264 rather than rec2020 like I had previously. I will also make sure to manage the exposure more carefully during filming, as many shots were unable to be used due to strange exposure artifacts. I feel optimistic about this project.
