Our Pitch for the Music Video

Image
Pitch 1: Believer by Imagine Dragons  I would be interested in filming this pitch. This song goes with the theme we had in mind for this music video. We also thought as a group that the scenes could have a cool impact with each loud clap of the song. Acting out this song would not be difficult either or could be relatively like the other song in terms of scenes. Believer has an upbeat tempo that aligns with the theme of our music video.  Pitch 2: Till I collapse by Eminem  I would also be interested in using this music for the pitch. This song would work well for an idea based on motivation or working out, due to the lyrics in the song. The only problem with this pitch is that we would have to use a clean version since the original has profanity in it. I also feel that it wouldn’t be that difficult to act out a scene while using the song, and it would incorporate well with the music video. This song would also allow for longer scenes, and most likely less editing work, gi...

My Group

Image
I have chosen to work in a group for this project. This is because I felt that working in a group will be easier, as the workload would be more evenly distributed. Having completed the commercial project in a group, I felt that it worked well enough to warrant working again in a group. I therefore chose to work in a group. One member of my group is David Suciu. I chose to work to work with him because he was a valuable group member for the commercial project, and was productive. David helped immensely during the filming process, being the main actor in majority of the shots. He actively contributed to the group blogs and also brought some props for filming. David also can type very fast, meaning he can complete his work much quicker than most. David also already has some ideas on how to do the music video. My second group mate is Khamaree Jeudy. I have also worked with Khamaree in the previous project, and he proved beneficial to the group as well. He was also one of the actors in the ...

Creative Critical Reflection 1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?        We did follow some of the conventions of sports drink commercials. One such convention is that the ads have an athlete of some sort drink the product, and then perform well in their sport. Our commercial reflected this convention, the sport being soccer. Another convention I noticed was that the advertisements all had a voiceover of some sort. Our commercial also had sound effects and music similar to those conventionally found in sports drink commercials.       The commercial’s primary audience are athletes looking to optimize their performance. These athletes can be of varying skill levels and play different sports. They are individuals that prioritize hydration to provide them with the endurance they need. The commercial can also attract coaches aiming to maximize the performance of their team. The go...
